Perched, Parched linocut print
Perched, Parched is part of my Precarious Homes series of small prints, made following the destruction of my studio during the uprising in Minneapolis in June, 2020. These prints emerged from the feeling of being in a precarious situation, caught between an old, familiar, and broken world and the promise of a bright new future built by and for community or the threat of an authoritarian regime. Regardless of what happens, they are that moment at the precipice of big change.
This linocut print is on 5"x7" Strathmore acid-free printmaking paper. Each print is hand-made so there will be varying amounts of "saltiness", aka white speckles in the black parts. All prints are numbered, signed, and dated, and I will be doing new editions as needed. Prints will ship or be ready for pickup within two weeks of ordering.
